Biomechanics of pregnancy and vaginal delivery

چکیده
During pregnancy, the female reproductive organs and pelvic structures undergo dramatic changes in geometry, anatomical position, function to accommodate growing fetus prepare for delivery. these processes, various complications can occur significantly impacting baby mother's health are understudied from a biomechanical perspective. Biomedical engineers work cooperatively with clinicians biologists understand that during pregnancy vaginal delivery how this impacts maternal fetal health. To accomplish this, their collaborators' design leverage imaging modalities, computational tools, tissue engineering systems quantify why surrounding evolve throughout pregnancy. This review focuses on techniques methods developed over past five years improve our understanding of biomechanics

Pregnancy and Vaginal Delivery after Sacrohysteropexy
Pregnancy and birth after a Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) surgery is a rare condition and less is known about the method for delivery. A 31-year-old women with gravida 3 para 3 underwent abdominal sacrohysteropexy and transobturatuar tape (TOT) procedures for stage III prolapse who delivered via vaginal birth and showed no relapse. Sacrohysteropexy is a good option for women with POP who desire f...
متن کاملSuccessful Vaginal Delivery despite a Huge Ovarian Mucinous Cystadenoma Complicating Pregnancy: A Case Report
A 22-year-old patient with 9 months of amenorrhea and a huge abdominal swelling was admitted to our institution with an ultrasonography report of a multiloculated cystic space-occupying lesion, almost taking up the whole abdomen (probably of ovarian origin), along with a single live intrauterine fetus. She delivered vaginally a boy baby within 4 hours of admission without any maternal complicat...
متن کاملComparison of Maternal Anemia and Their Infant Apgar Scores in Conventional Vaginal Delivery with Physiological Delivery
Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare some of the maternal blood parameters and Apgar score of their infants in conventional vaginal delivery with physiological delivery. Methods: This semi-experimental study was performed in 2018 with the participation of 400 pregnant women candidates for physiological childbirth and 400 pregnant women candidates for conventional vaginal delivery...
متن کاملBiomechanics of Gait during Pregnancy
INTRODUCTION During pregnancy women experience several changes in the body's physiology, morphology, and hormonal system. These changes may affect the balance and body stability and can cause discomfort and pain. The adaptations of the musculoskeletal system due to morphological changes during pregnancy are not fully understood. Few studies clarify the biomechanical changes of gait that occur d...
متن کاملAdvantages of vaginal delivery.
Despite an impressive amount of effort and extensive research, our knowledge of parturition remains limited. Scientists have exhaustively investigated ‘‘the timing of birth’’; yet, we still have a limited understanding of the biologic mechanisms that control the events initiating delivery, and consequently, we lack tools to prevent these mechanisms from acting inappropriately. A multitude of fa...
